Dr. Gulzar Hussain Das did his M.B.B.S. from AMU Medical College, Fellowship in cataract Susrut eye hospital Kolkata, and completed his Degree in Ophthalmology Postgraduation from AMU Medical college and D.N.B. from Hayat hospital, Chennai. He was the winner of the prestigious Allergan Academic Achiever, in 2011 and was the receiver of the Neuroophthalmology Gold Medal, in 2011. He pursued a fellowship in Vitreoretina from Hayat Hospital and completed it in 2014. He passed the ICO examination and is currently a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology and a member of the Royal College of Surgery (Edin). He now works in hayat Hospital Nasd Diagnostic center as a Senior consultant. He has many peer-reviewed National and International Journals under his name and has a keen interest in Retinal Imaging and in History of Ophthalmic Science. He also runs a blog on Ophthalmic Eponyms .
